"Wagon Wheel", it's still not over. I left half of myself in Saluda when we said goodbye, and I honestly don't believe I'll ever be whole again. I never knew I could love someone so much...I didn't know it was possible. And I certainly didn't prepare myself for the fall. You're still my best friend and my soulmate, and I hope one day we'll find a way to be together again but right now staying around here hurts way too much. Every is a memory for me no matter where I go. I look at and my heart breaks missing my girl and the man who use to sit between them and had the biggest piece of me that I've ever given to anyone. I drive through Ridge Spring and I think about how we spent my last birthday there and how much I miss the man who had the same sense of humor that I do, the man who loves old junk the way I do, who loved music even more than I do, who scoops me up and dances with me in the streets while everyone is watching. I miss your voice...the that so many people picked on you for having...I miss hearing you say my name. I miss your kisses and the way you held my hand and made me feel so safe, like there was nothing we couldn't get through together. My heart just won't stop breaking and I can't take it any longer. I know in my heart of hearts that someday we'll be together again...but someday is just too far away. I'm leaving this summer to take a job in Wyoming until early fall. There's nothing there that we've shared and I need that right now. I need open spaces in a place where no one knows me or how much I'm hurting inside. I need the distraction and my own space. I need an adventure and I need to prove myself to myself and do what's right for me. I'll be back in ...and I'll be singing "Wagon Wheel" all the way home. I love you , with all that I am and ever will be. In the end I just know it's going to be "You Me".
